Arcfox in Jamaica: What BAIC and Jetcon Have to Do With It

The manufacturer relationship

BAIC’s global brand communication places BAIC, Arcfox and Stelato within its portfolio. Arcfox is not an unrelated manufacturer merely sharing a Jamaican showroom. This relationship does not mean an electric T1 shares the petrol engine in a BAIC X55.

The Jamaican relationship

Jetcon identifies itself as the authorised BAIC and Arcfox distributor for Jamaica. The distributor is the local channel for ordering and support; it is not the Chinese parent manufacturer. Get the contract, coverage and delivery commitment from the entity selling your car.

The T1 offer

Jetcon’s current T1 page starts at J$3.999M and says it is taking orders. The dealer advertises an eight-year warranty and eight years of free servicing. Ask for scope, mileage limits, exclusions and the service schedule in writing; a headline duration does not explain the whole contract.

Treat range as a test-cycle figure

The page labels its 400 km range CLTC. That is a certification-cycle claim, not a promise for your Jamaican commute with hills, speed, passengers and air conditioning. Plan charging around your route and reserve. Confirm the charging connector and home-installation requirements before ordering.

Where it belongs in your shortlist

At its published starting price, the T1 fits the J$3.99–5.5M buying guide. Compare it with petrol alternatives on usable space, charging practicality, support and the full quote. Choosing an EV is a change in daily routine, not just choosing a different grille.
